Trail Work Time

It’s not every day that we get to spend in crossing the public lands of Washington State and reveling in the freedoms that come with this elbow room, but every other day ain’t too bad. I’m participating in the Washington Trails Association Hike-a-thon of 2009 to assist this organization’s efforts to protect and maintain our cherished hiking trails. Annually this home grown group sends out volunteer work parties to repair and maintain the foot paths we so love to walk and run. This is a labor of love, but even with the dedication of this bunch there are still bills to pay.

You know you want to help me reach my fund raising goal. The mileage I intend to run over the month of August will come on its own. Just click on the Hike-a-Thon image to pledge your support. And thanks so much for your generosity.

All mule requests will be happily accepted, please pace Matt and bring tasty limes, tuna and halva on the trail.
