My family has grown and I’m no longer able to get out and soar this thing as I’d like. GIN manufactured the Zulu Explorer prior to the creation of the Sprint/Spint X-Alps. Essentially the same wing as their long lived and popular Zulu DHV/LTF 1-2 you can expect to fly much faster on this rig. Most of the weight savings is in the lines and advance materials used in construction which incidentally meant that I was keeping up with much faster and less stable XC twos and threes. The glide ratio is less by comparison.
This is a great wing for someone newer to the sport, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re just starting out. Line management can be a challenge on launch. Also the speed that the wing flies at tends to be a little bit faster than many new pilots are ready for.
I’m happy to answer any questions you have about it, I’ve been happy with it since I bought it. But I don’t have the time to use it and thus am backing out of the sport for a while.
